Ireland Shows POSTPONED!

Press Release
For Immediate Distribution & Publication

Wednesday 4th February 2009

Scooter Ireland Tour Postponement

Due to unforeseen production and licensing difficulties and the band recording their new album the decision has been taken to postpone the forthcoming Scooter Ireland Tour scheduled for February 09.

The dates will now be rescheduled for autumn 2009 and will form part of a full UK and Ireland tour for Scooter.
A further press release will be issued once the full list of autumn dates can be confirmed.

All parties involved in the organisation of the tour would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all fans that have bought tickets already.

There are two options now available to those who have already purchased tickets as follows: -

Contact the ticket sales outlet to arrange a refund.
Retain the tickets which will be valid for the re arranged date at the venue you originally purchased the ticket for.

All enquiries regarding refunds should be directed to the point of sale.

I have had a sort of bad feeling about Ireland for a couple of weeks now

Unfortuanately shit happens - these things are sometimes unavoidable :(

They would not be cancelled without good reason, but I know thats little consolation...

there was little or no advertising for it.
the tickets where on sale like two months before it and not long after xmas.
it was announced on the day they went on sale almost
there is a recession on @ the minute and also a lot of east Europeans are leaving Ireland, they listen to scooter and im sure many would have went.
Jump that rock whatever you want wasn't available to buy and even it if was it was to early to hype the dates.

I an no expert on this but i could list many more reason who this should have been handled/promoted

Ask scooter can they move to hard2beat?
They seem to be better organised and have similar bands

Also
The next tour i think will be Dublin only with a maybe for a second date.
Ireland is a strange country for music/gigs and I could very easily only see a Dublin show selling well.

From what I can see this has nothing to do with either the label, promotion or sales.

There was a full radio and TV campaign as well as a whole host of other stuff so I can't see where that argument comes from.

aatw was a main target here for a while after the plymouth cancellation. atleastwe have a bit of good news from it. still doesn't make up for the money i've lost, luckily it wasn't that much. i also didn't book a hotel yet.

@snadra- i feel for you as you've spent quite a lot on this trip :(

I've spread the word to nearly all Scooter bebo sites. Of course, the UK Posse is again the first to get the news (commitment!).

Hopefully anyone who goes on bebo today who was going to the concerts will now know. Horrible way to be told but best to know I guess. :?

last august i travelled to bonn to see scooter was cancelled 1 day before now they cancel ireland . it seems to me that in a recession the organisers dont give a toss about fans who book planes parking hotels to travel to concerts . the organisers should hold their heads in shame . SHOCKING BEHAVIOUR

I've emailed Michael @ Myspace, asking if he could put bigger, official announcement, and he just emailed me back saying,
"I am very sorry."
(For tour being cancelled, not him not putting up the message.)
I almost cried...
