99,9% DDY
why do you think H.P. and Michael did already a solo test project with him short before Rick did leave?
DDY is already sitting since longer time on Ricks place in the studio!

If it was DDY, and there was a non-friendly split i'm sure DDY would step in right away, and he would be announced as a new member when they announced Rics departure. on the other side, Scooter could'nt do a 20 year tour without Rick, so maybe he stays becase of that.

I'm sure they don't got a replacement yet or they won't replace him and continue as a duo with external co producers. What did they do when Ferris, Axel and jay quitted? Was a new member announced imidiatly?

New "3rd" members have always been announced alongside the information about exiting of the old ones.

But I guess it is not like "Hey, Rick's leaving, perhaps we should start looking for a new guy." It would be more long term, I guess if there is someone as a replacement, it has been decided some time ago already.

If he was involved with producing TBMU then that is one hell of a good reason to keep him as far away as possible.
This.

Anyway, maybe they don't know yet. They don't have to have a new member until the shows after January 24th 2014. They have three months the very least for finding a new member. Maybe months more, depending on 2014 bookings, of which we have so far heard nothing (not counting the tour).

He only mixed the megamix, had nothing to do with the album itself.

Maybe they just don't want to announce who it is until after the final concert in Hamburg

well there is only one new statement by H.P. and Michael:
"Wer Rick ersetzt, ist noch unklar"

"Who replaces Rick is still not clear"

But both H.P. and Michael want to go on with Scooter.
And it does not sound like DDY will join Scooter.

The new member only for stage maybe
but DDY did give fans already interview how the style of new album will be he is working for in Scooter studio!

Quoted

Philip Speiser (DDY)

about new Scooter album:

[Thanks to Dave =BASS= Parker & Scar]
The album will include twenty unique
new tracks. No reworks of old tracks or anything.

Some of you might be afraid, that it
will be an Electro House album, but that's not correct. Dirty Disco
Youth is only one project of mine; I produced a lot of different
stuff for other people.

Of course the album will have an up
to date dance sound and will contain big room elements and stuff.
But especially I want to keep the typical Scooter energy we all
love. Most of the tracks so far are 138 bpm or faster. The album
will maybe be more Scooter than some of the latest tracks. That's
the ambition. It will contain some different styles and also some
old school elements in a modern outfit.

Be prepared for some hard kick
drums, energetic chords and hypnotic vocals.

All the best and I'm sure you will
have some fun with the new music.
The Rick, the Ferris, and MC H.P. = Scooter
